About my Blog

But I must explain to you how all this mistaken idea of denouncing pleasure and praising pain was born and I will give you a complete account of the system, and expound the actual teachings of the great explorer of the truth, the master-builder of human happiness. No one rejects, dislikes, or avoids pleasure itself, because it is pleasure, but because those who do not know how to pursue pleasure rationally encounter consequences that are extremely painful. Nor again is there anyone who loves or pursues or desires to obtain pain

Far Away from our Dreams

Like a distant memory you shall pass
And the wind that blows north shall now turn east
More than anything i wish for you
To stay and cuddle me in your arms
One last time.
One last time,
Hold me and do not go.
Let me hear your heart
For I want to know who it beats for
Is it for me?
And then, as the end draws near
I shall hold my breath
And try to persuade my heart
to keep beating.
The look on your face my heart and soul will remember
In every moment that you are with me
In all the places we were together.
I need you
But I dare not be selfish
You must go
I know that now
I'd ask you to stay
But I will not cloud your dreams.
When you go
There is one thing I want to ask..
Do this..
Take a piece of my heart with you
Keep it and be silent
Just remember that more than anything
I love you.

probably the only thing worse than a love that didn't happen at all is a love that couldn't... because although it was with the right person, it just happened at the wrong time...

A MAP FOR LOST LOVERS
by Nat Casuela (wink.)

Oftentimes, after each relationship, we feel lost, not knowing when and how to pick up the pieces of something built on expectations but mercilessly destroyed by disappointment.

Where to go then, most of us know not.

But some of us have an idea.

A life lived in the past is a cage that traps us from the gifts of today and tomorrow.
Silence is an escape but rarely a refuge.
Bitterness and hatred is a curved blade. When these are inflicted, it is ourselves that bear the pain.

So expect the worst, yet hope for the best.

Expect being deceived again. Expect hurt. Expect suffering and pain.

Yet never fail to see that beyond all that lies transcendence.

For every encounter that ends, we are left with that familiar emptiness that starts as a small spark. We may fan its embers into flames. Or we could pay this emptiness no heed, pick up the pieces, put them together and see the bigger picture.

We are not left empty. We are and should be left fulfilled. What's left is a number of even more parts of us that lie undiscovered. Parts of us that can make us better and stronger people who can handle trials such as these in ways we never knew we could.

There is a map for lost lovers, but like a mystery, the number of steps we take and the direction to which we should take these, lie hidden in that chaotic, disorderly circumstance called Relationship. Discovery lies upon every argument, every heartache, and every separation.

A journey begins with but a single step. And so to reach that goal and feeling of completeness, we must begin with understanding ourselves.
